Job DescriptionA Day in the Life of an Assistant ControllerAs an Assistant Controller at Techo-Bloc, your day will be fast-paced and dynamic. Here’s a glimpse of what to expect:

  • Morning: Start your day by reviewing financial statements for your assigned territory, preparing insights to present to upper management. You’ll highlight key financial trends and key performance indicators.
  • Midday: Collaborate with the Controller to craft the annual budget and forecast financial outcomes. You #39;ll analyze data to make strategic recommendations and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Afternoon: Join the Production Managers for a monthly meeting where you’ll assess operational spending, headcount, and capital investments aimed at improving plant efficiency.
  • Ongoing: Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to learn directly from the company #39;s owners during weekly strategy sessions, gaining valuable insights into the broader business vision.
  • Wrap-up: Assist the Controller with the migration to AX 365 by reviewing current processes to ensure a smooth transition. Plus, prepare fleet expense reviews to support upcoming capital decisions.
This role provides a perfect blend of financial analysis, strategy, and hands-on involvement with multiple departments.Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Help the controller prepare and analyze financial statements and related notes;
  • Track and reconcile fixed assets;
  • Take part in month-end and year-end closing with external auditors;
  • Monitor prepaid expenses, current receivables, and monthly payments;
  • Support annual budget preparation with department heads;
  • Assist with financial analysis (inventory, sales, costs, margins, etc.);
  • Attend monthly meetings with Operations Managers.
