Position Overview:Reporting to the Senior Controller, the Controller will oversee all accounting activities related to production sites and distribution centers within their assigned territory. Collaborating closely with the finance team, the Controller will serve as the expert in financial accounting, cost analysis, inventory management, Excel-based analysis, and bank transactions, while supervising one direct report.Key Responsibilities:
  • With support from the Assistant Controller, ensure the production of monthly and annual financial statements, including detailed explanatory notes.
  • Conduct financial analyses and generate all required financial reports.
  • Prepare monthly GST/QST reports for submission to Revenu Québec.
  • Participate in profitability analyses for all new products and CAPEX projects.
  • Ensure rigorous cost control management.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts with the assistant controller (inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, loans, fixed assets).
  • Produce and coordinate the budgeting process with each department.
  • Participate in reviewing and updating internal controls and processes.
  • Prepare the annual external audit for the Canadian Techo-Bloc entity, including reviewing tax returns.
  • Participate in the migration to new ERP D365 as well as implement special projects (e.g., consolidation of financial statements and new government incentive programs).
