Job Description

Acadia Broadcasting is a growing media company with radio stations in Atlantic Canada and Northwestern Ontario. In each of our markets, our company focuses on being the community’s local voice for entertainment, news, and events.We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the corporate Head Office team in Saint John, NB. Reporting to the Credit and Billing Manager, this role is responsible for the accounts receivable process as per the company credit policy, as well as the scheduling radio announcements, advertisements, and promotions as per client specifications. This position interacts with both internal departments and external stakeholders, including clients, and is essential to the smooth operation of the business.The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily deposits and balance payments within the system
  • Generate and distribute invoices and account statements on a timely basis
  • Provide reports and support to stations and their team members
  • Regular interaction with clients and ensure customer accounts are maintained
  • Ensure consistency and compliance to process and timelines
  • Collecting on accounts and performing advertiser and/or collection analysis as required
  • Reviewing sales orders to ensure compliance with credit policies
  • Performing credit assessment on new clients
  • Scheduling on-air announcements, promotions, and advertising
  • Being part of a team performing continuous process improvement
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Post-Secondary education in a related discipline
  • 1-3 Years’ experience in a related role
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines in a high paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Has a desire to learn and is highly adaptable to change
  • Computer literacy – working knowledge of MS Office Suite is required
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
