Team Lead – Corporate Finance and AnalysisAre you looking to have a meaningful opportunity to grow your career and make an impact across finance We are currently looking for a highly curious and self-motivated leader with an aptitude of process improvement and financial analysis to join our J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) Corporate Finance and Analysis team in the role of Team Lead at our office in Saint John, New Brunswick.The TeamJDIs Corporate Finance and Analysis team is made up of a collection of people with diverse backgrounds and skillsets. We work closely with great teams across JDI Finance and our operations to implement and improve finance solutions regarding financial modeling, data visualization, and analysis. We combine analytical and strategic thinking to develop a sound financial future for our organization. We look for individuals with experience in this area or people looking to broaden their horizons.The RoleThe Team Lead is passionate about process excellence and has strong financial business acumen, data and technology experience. The candidate will possess excellent business partnering and networking skills and embrace the opportunity to connect cross functionally with other teams.

  • Partner with teams across the organization to manage a portfolio of projects based on the team’s roadmap
  • Lead a team of talented financial analysts
  • Build comprehensive financial models for financial planning and analysis
Responsibilities Include
  • Lead team projects and initiatives to drive innovation and digital transformation in the finance organization
  • Build comprehensive financial models for financial planning and analysis
  • Lead and coach a team of talented financial analysts
  • Support existing financial forecasting models and bring new ways of bringing value to their forecasting processes
  • Lead business requirement gathering sessions, strategize and execute new ways of improving processes and productivity
  • Partner with the finance sub-teams, manage the project portfolio and prioritize projects based on the team roadmap
  • Work effectively with the team to determine and implement solutions to problems
  • Manage various ad hoc projects within the Corporate FP&A team that map to our broader goal of adding value by being an effective business partner
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders of varying organizational levels
Qualifications
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business partners
  • Experience in building financial models & best practices
  • Comfortable managing tight deadlines and prioritizing in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high degree of curiosity and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with TM1, Tableau, or other analytical tools is an asset
  • 3-5 years of accounting, finance, or related experience and ideally further education (CPA, MBA, CFA, etc.)
