Job Description

Finance ManagerThe Transportation and Logistics division of JD Irving, Ltd. is comprised of a dynamic group of unique and successful businesses in the marine, railway, and trucking sectors (www.jdirving.com). This role is based in Saint John, NB.At JDI you are part of a strong finance community. With over 200 finance professionals we have a strong commitment to employee career progression and professional development.Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage weekly and monthly reviews with internal operations directors and senior leaders
  • Assist in the management of the long-term strategic planning and capital budgeting process
  • Guidance & Coaching to non-finance managers regarding financial issues
  • Prepare financial analysis to support financial business decisions and improve performance
  • Perform valuations for acquisitions and new business development
Qualifications:
  • CPA Designation
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
  • More than 3 years of relevant experience considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills
  • Keen interest in data analytics and strong analytical skills (training in Tableau, TM1 & Alteryx will be provided)
  • Experience managing a team considered an asset
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently
