Job descriptionJOB PURPOSEAs a member of our Concession Staff, your position is working on the Fundy Rose sails the Bay of Fundy daily with departures from Saint John, New Brunswick and from Digby, Nova Scotia in collaboration with team members throughout the 2022 Fundy Rose Season as per the Operations Manager’s direction.RESPONSIBILITIESThe position are:Cashiers, Prep. Cooks, Bartenders, Cleaners, Baristas, Gift Shop Attendants.Must be Double Vaccinated to work on board.In summer, we do double runs, so hours would be 7 am to 7:30 pm with timed breaks.WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSCommit to work the entire seasonThe work environment consists of being on a Ship travelling from Digby, Nova Scotia,Adhering to dress code policiesThis job requires lifting up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) or more;Ability to walk, stand for extended periods of time, lift, bend, rotate, ascending and descending stairwells, and moving supplies throughout the onboard operationsTake direction from management or immediate supervisorBe aware and follow security/fire/safety according to ship’s rules and regulations.Assisting other areas of the ship as requested by supervisorREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCECompletion of Grade 12 or GEDStudents are welcome to apply as part of the Canada Summer Jobs ProgramAges of 17 to 30Strong interpersonal and written communication skillsAssisting other areas of the ship as requested by supervisorExperience is an assetOTHER REQUIREMENTSBe fluent in English.Take direction from management or immediate supervisorAttach References to Resume (Previous Employer’s Preferred)CONFIDENTIALITY AND DISCRETIONThe incumbent must maintain the confidentiality of all company and customer information and must not discuss such matters outside of Sip at Sea.
