Job Description

HUMAN RESOURCE & CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGERChandler is one of Atlantic Canada’s leading Business to Business suppliers. We have been serving our customers’ needs since 1959! Chandler is committed to providing the best, and to achieve the goal, we are also committed to hiring the best.We are currently seeking a dynamic Human Resource professional to join our team!Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate must be customer focused, thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and detail. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a “can do” attitude. This position will act as a strategic business partner to develop, support, and execute various employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and communication strategies in support of Chandler and Plasticraft.Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education with an emphasis on HR, or equivalent experience
  • +5 years of Human Resource experience required
  • Seasoned human resource professional, with proven knowledgeable and experienced in managing all HR functions
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high quality work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft Suite
  • Bilingual in English/ French is an asset
  • CPHR designation or in process considered an asset
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures
  • Provide expertise and hands-on support in a broad range of HR functions including employee relations, leadership development, employee engagement, performance management, training and development, compensation, recruitment/retention, disability management, and Employee Wellness
  • Coach and develop a team of HR and Customer Service associates
  • Build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Identify and address continuous improvement opportunities within HR, and Customer Service processes and data sources
  • Develop communication plans, prepare, and deliver required communications, presentations, and correspondence
