If you have a can-do personality, love a start-up culture, and have a passion for our region, let's talk.The OpportunityWe are looking for a HR & Strategic Recruitment Manager that is passionate about propelling growth for the Saint John region. In this position, you will have a dual role; providing the primary human resource support function for the Agency but also partnering with our regional employer HR leads on strategic workforce recruitment initiatives. In your role as the agency's HR Manager, you will be accountable for all aspects of supporting employee and agency HR needs. In your role as the Strategic Recruitment Manager, you will work closely with employers in our region in accessing a continuous stream of talent for their companies.ResponsibilitiesIn this position, you will report to the CEO.Responsibilities will include:HR Generalist

  • Provide expertise in the development and administration of the agency's human resource practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead recruitment processes as well as workplace planning and creating recruitment strategies.
  • Manage and monitor benefits and compensation programs.
  • Support the development and periodic reviews of an employee handbook, job descriptions, onboarding and orientation programs, termination and exit programs, and employee contracts.
  • Support goal planning and employee performance evaluation processes.
  • Proactively identify people and culture best practices.
  • Act as a trusted resource for employees and management and make referrals to additional supports as required.
Strategic Recruitment
  • Partner with strategic employer accounts to assist with their strategic and tactical recruitment and retention of talent needs.
  • Identify and implement innovative ways of addressing employers' workforce needs.
  • Collaborate with government, academic, not-for-profit, and private sector partners in the development of workforce strategies and tactics.
  • Act as a growth ambassador for the region working directly with job seekers, newcomers, employers, settlement agencies and other partners to accelerate and streamline recruitment, hiring, and retention.
  • Represent the organization, as required, in a variety of settings including with clients, community partners, or the public.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to help meet key organization goals.
  • Share key insights and information across the organization.
  • Take on other responsibilities and initiatives as required.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Human Resources, or Education. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • CHRP designation considered an asset.
  • Minimum of five years relevant work experience.

  • You are an effective communicator, skilled at presenting detailed factual and conceptual information in a dynamic and compelling way.
  • You are recognized as an implementor with a strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to prioritize deliverables.
  • You thrive when working on multiple projects and are recognized for delivering outstanding work within tight deadlines.
  • You are recognized for your relationship management skills at all levels of an organization and segments of the population.
  • You are recognized for your ability to work autonomously and achieve results with minimal supervision.
