Job Description

Intermediate Financial AnalystWhat you can expect in a typical day:As an Intermediate Financial Analyst, you will provide financial statement and operating performance analysis; support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, business case development and evaluation to IOC Finance management, leadership and operations teams.What we offer:

Your roles and responsibilities:
  • Financial and operational reporting
  • Produce KPI / Scorecard reports
  • Produce flash reports
  • Produce stewardship reports, monthly profit and loss reports, FDA/MDA, expense/capital project and portfolio reporting
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required Analysis
  • Prepare variance analysis and financial/operational commentary
  • Perform internal/external benchmarking and competitor analysis
  • Ad-hoc analysis as required Planning
  • Provides support for budgeting and business planning
  • Responsible for generating forecasts
  • Support business case development and investment analysis
  • Business performance analysis
  • Mentoring and coaching more junior employees and or non financial professionals.
Professional skills:
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders including senior leaders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines / proven ability to meet hard deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Travel:
  • Travel is not a requirement for this position.
Education and experience:
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting and/or Information Technology.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in finance and/or financial applications.
