Job Description

Leader, Talent AcquisitionThe Leader of Talent Acquisition reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition and plays a significant role in leading the approach to campus recruitment. The Leader, Talent Acquisition oversees the coordination of campus activity across the J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) group of companies, and owns all elements of the campus recruitment process.Location: Saint John, New BrunswickKey Responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement initiatives that continue to support and grow JDI’s impact on campus.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing educational partners and seek opportunities to develop new partnerships to meet the growing workforce needs of JDI business.
  • Ensure the recruitment process is optimized, efficient and effective and provides an exceptional experience for all candidates.
  • Facilitate effective communication between and among JDI businesses regarding process improvement and about external events and opportunities.
  • Identify talent and share candidates across JDI businesses.
  • Oversee the execution of the JDI internal student program to ensure planned deliverables are met and students get exposure to the company, receive senior leadership interaction and professional development learning opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Experience in campus recruitment and employment/ brand campaigns
  • Understanding of recruitment process and exposure to technologies (Taleo preferred) and recruitment operations
  • Strong communication, presentation, influencing and organizational skills.
  • Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Recruiting experience with student, hourly and salaried workforces considered an asset.
  • Bilingual candidates (French & English) also an asset
