Job Description

MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS SPECIALISTIrving Equipment Limited is a well-established Heavy Lift and Specialized Transport company with a diverse fleet of mobile and crawler cranes, SPMTs, and other specialized transport and lifting equipment with locations in Saint John, New Brunswick, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and several other branches around Atlantic Canada.At Irving Equipment, you will discover a fast-paced work environment and gain exposure to a wide range of industrial, commercial, infrastructure and residential projects. Irving, Limited family of companies, we are always seeking to attract the very best talent.We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Management Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve the organization wide business operating system in accordance with the ISO registrations (9001: 2015), corporate and customer requirements
  • Organize and liaise with Internal Audit to conduct internal quality, environmental, and safety management system audits to ensure that the systems are implemented as written and that they are effective
  • Conduct training on the management systems for all levels of the organization
  • Ensure proper use and retention of controlled forms as required
  • Ensure all system documentation is controlled/current
  • Liaise with Registrar for the administration and management of the quality management system
  • Coordinate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformance relating to product, process, and systems
  • Identify and record any problems relating to process or system
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify implementation
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety representative to administer and improve the safety management system
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies:
  • University Degree or Community College Diploma preferred
  • 3 to 5 years in a management role managing ISO 9001 management system
  • Construction industry experience and previous management system audit experience an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 management standard considered an asset
  • Requires a thorough understanding and demonstrated effective application of root cause determination and corrective and preventive action
  • Ability to manage through teamwork and influence non-direct reports
  • Proven ability to achieve high performance levels in a complex fast-moving environment with the ability to set self-directed objectives and multi-task
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have excellent written, oral communication, and computer skills including MS Office
  • Results oriented and energetic
  • Attention to detail
