Reporting to the Controller, you will plan, lead, and manage the operations of Benefit Payment Services in Finance Services, while providing leadership to the team to achieve identified results within the context of the divisional operational plan and WorkSafeNB’s strategic plan. You will monitor operations and takes action to improve productivity, performance, and efficiency, ensure quality control, and effectively develops a high performing team that delivers superior client service. You will also be engaged in business modernization/transformation initiatives to achieve an exceptional employee and client experience at WorkSafeNB.Your key areas of responsibility include:• Providing strong people leadership that drives engagement of the team to enable their performance, development, and overall employee experience while delivering a superior client experience. Enabling others to grow, develop and achieve career aspirations.• Managing the business unit’s budget and spend. Ensuring deviations from plan are identified to the Controller, along with drivers clearly identified.• Implementing the division’s business strategy by developing the processes, standards, objectives and measures for the business unit and team to maximize productivity, business performance and efficiency, and ensuring quality control while delivering superior client service.You embrace the following competencies:• Adaptability• Client-focused Service• Teamwork and Collaboration• Ensuring Accountability• Developing Others• Emotional Intelligence / Self-awareness• Leading Change• Planning and Organizing• Nurturing Continuous Improvement & Innovation• Enabling CommunicationYou, as a successful candidate, possess:• University Degree in a relevant discipline.• Three to five years’ experience leading teams or supervisory experience.• Experience working with individuals and teams to improve personal and operational performance.• Proven understanding and proficiency in financial management and budgeting.• Strong communication and change leadership skills.• Commitment to principles of client service and client centric thinking.• Leading change principles and processes.Written and spoken competency in English is required.
