PROFESSIONAL LINEHAUL TRUCK DRIVER – NIGHTTIME SHUNTMidland Transport Limited has become a leader in the transportation industry by providing superior quality service to our customers. To learn more about Midland Transport, click here.Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking full-time Professional Linehaul Drivers for a Nighttime Shunt route based out of Saint John, NB. Professional Nighttime Linehaul Drivers are expected to operate the trucks in a safe, efficient, and productive manner according to Midland’s best management practices. The selected candidates will be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.Qualifications:Education required: High school diploma minimumExperience required: 2 years of safe tractor trailer driving experienceValid or eligibility to receive a Prince Edward Island Class 1 Driver’s LicenseValid or eligibility to receive Air Brakes EndorsementEligible for and obtain Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) CertificateClean driver’s abstractClean criminal record searchGood written and verbal communication skillsGeneral truck mechanical skills will be considered an assetPositive and enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to provide Superior Quality ServiceKey Responsibilities:Operate the truck in a safe, efficient, and productive manner according to Midland Transport Limited’s best management practicesProvide efficient, reliable, professional service to customersWork with variable shipment weight and freight handling equipmentMaintain company equipment standardsProcess daily pickup and delivery recordsSchedule activity based on daily shipment volumes and customer demandServicing nighttime linehauls within the Maritime ProvincesPerform general daily maintenance and repairs as requiredCandidate must be willing to participate in coaching and training sessions regarding Midland Transport Limited’s best management practicesNumber of Openings: MultipleEmployment Locations: Drivers will work out of and report to our location at 114 Bayside Drive, Saint John, NB. Drivers will service our routes in the Maritime Provinces.Hourly Rate: The hourly wage for normal route worked time is $24.00 for the duration of 12 hours per shift.
