Job Description

ASCO Canada has been providing materials management services to the downstream sector in New Brunswick since 2021. Across a number of client-owned warehouses spanning a total of over 40,000 square feet, the core team handles all the materials management requirements for our client, including day-to-day material receipt, inventory control issues, surplus management and long-term storage.As the Operations & Warehousing Manager for New Brunswick you will be responsible for providing effective leadership over all operations and business management for our clients Warehousing and Materials activities.Your day to day:

  • Work with group warehousing and materials team to deliver the operational strategy for warehousing and materials management for our client
  • Engage with the client to ensure operational priorities are fulfilled by the materials management function
  • Develop the future activity forecast for resourcing requirements
  • Work to improve processes and deliver value back to our client and their stakeholders
  • Develop and implement a program of continuous improvement in line with warehousing strategy document
  • Responsible for leading and supervising warehouse operations in a manner that is in line with ASCOs core values
  • Supervise employees responsible for storing and distributing materials
  • Lead daily toolbox talks, time out for safety and employee engagement across all sites
  • Coordinate monthly safety meetings with HSSEQ department and all team members
  • Ensure representative attendance of JHSC meeting
  • High standards of housekeeping being maintained at all times
  • In partnership with the client HSE department, ensure the continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to all laws, regulations and industry standards/codes.
  • Fully endorse the ASCO ‘Stop the Job’ policy and commitment to proactive intervention where an unsafe act or condition is observed.
  • Reports all incidents or breaches of policy or regulations
  • Implement change process and procedures when required
  • Drive environmental compliance

People & Development
  • Perform the recruitment/ induction/ training/ competence assurance of all staff
  • Provide feedback on employee performance
  • Set and monitor performance objectives for direct reports
  • Operational team management with the allocation of staff shifts, holiday, cover and absence across all locations
  • Delegate other functions, as required, to staff that are qualified to undertake specific tasks to meet the business needs.
What you bring to ASCO:· Certificate in Supply Chain Management (Or equivalent experience)· Experience in Oil & Gas Logistics
  • Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite and Oracle ERP
