Job Description

Job SummaryReporting to the Recruitment Manager, this position is responsible for full cycle recruitment of hourly positions to grow OSCO’s talent pipeline and further develop and enhance partnerships with local institutions and community groups. The Recruiter will assess and select talent for a variety of hourly roles at various locations throughout New Brunswick. This is a hands-on position with a clear focus on successful sourcing and pre-employment of new hires, managing the day-to-day applicant tracking system and championing recruiting efforts for the overall company. The Recruiter is responsible for ensuring an optimal candidate experience, further strengthening our brand, relationships, and partnerships.Responsibilities

  • Conduct full cycle recruitment for hourly positions (general labourers, drivers, skilled trades, etc.)
  • Develop quarterly recruiting strategy with Recruiting Manager and hiring managers
  • Search for, evaluate and suggest new methods of sourcing candidates and advertising the Company’s brand/culture
  • Attend/facilitate job fairs and other recruiting events in alignment with forecasted talent pipeline requirements
  • Conduct salary research for new requisitions/review for existing positions to determine market alignment and make recommendations as needed
  • Complete candidate ratings prior to hire and work with managers and HR generalists to evaluate performance rating alignment (via manager feedback and new employee check-ins) and adjust as required
  • Maintain annual Calendar of Commitments to track recruiting events, communications, training, and information sessions
  • Work closely with Operations including the plant managers and supervisors in a fast paced, deadline driven, customer focused environment
  • Facilitate employee focus groups for recruiting / onboarding feedback sessions and implement necessary process changes relating to candidate experience, culture, etc.
  • Conduct exit interviews with employees who resign within a year of hire, analyze data and make recommendations based on feedback
  • Planning / support for annual company events and celebrations
Technical Requirements
  • Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree or college diploma with a concentration in human resources or a relevant program
  • Prior experience within or exposure to recruiting / talent acquisition with a focus on hourly positions
  • Technologically inclined and adept at learning new systems Interest in working towards the CPHR designation would be an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint as well as Teams
  • Experience using both standard and unique talent sourcing platforms (Taleo, Oracle, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) would be a strong asset

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure
  • Excellent business writing and grammar skills
  • Comfortable presenting to groups on a variety of topics including information sessions for recruiting purposes
  • Ability to travel as needed for recruiting related events (job fairs, information sessions, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
