Job Description

Staff Technical WriterDescription:Genesys is searching for a talented writer to join a small, distributed team that publishes Web-based documentation for our enterprise, cloud-based product. The successful candidate will understand and be a self-starter who identifies and addresses issues without constant oversight; well-organized and able to provide regular status updates; a strong communicator who reaches out as needed to request support and drive progress; flexible and organized enough to adjust their day-to-day work to meet shifting priorities and assignments.About our team:The Genesys Cloud Documentation Team creates, maintains, and continuously improves the technical documentation websites that help people learn how to use and understand Genesys’s software.What you’ll do at Genesys:

  • Produce high-quality technical content that adheres to our style guides and standards.
  • Communicate quickly and effectively with project managers, product owners, UX team members, QA team members, and development team members to facilitate understanding of deliverables, estimates, and prioritization.
  • Triage and resolve platform and Web-related issues on the current WordPress-based site, related automated processes, and supporting technology framework.
  • Play an essential role in designing, building, coding, deploying, and migrating to a new Web-based CMS/LMS that will provide intuitive, interactive, personalized experiences by leveraging a variety of cloud technologies.
  • Partner with other IT teams to seamlessly integrate the Resource Center with Genesys’s enterprise systems and knowledgebases.

  • You adapt well to shifting priorities and timelines using analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience writing technical publications for a technical audience.
  • Proven ability to manage, prioritize, and deliver technical writing projects in fast-paced work environment aligned with a continuous release cycle.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with online content-delivery tools and platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Javascript, HTML, CSS, PHP, Jenkins
  • Experience with CMS or LMS development, deployment, or migration
  • Experience with source controls systems, such as Git
  • Experience with Agile principles
  • Desired experience includes familiarity with contact-center software, telecommunications technology and standards, network-based solutions, or other highly technical systems.
