For individuals outside of the Saint John area, we offer an exciting relocation expenses package. We will also consider the opportunity to work remotely for the right candidate.We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and efficient Steel Detailing Assistant Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work with the project manager to coordinate and accomplish the necessary project tasks and requirements. The ideal candidate must have an eye for detail and a go-getter personality, ready to help synchronize all the project elements and make them operate successfully.At JMT Consultants Inc. we value our team members and offer a full medical benefits package, vacation/sick time, flexible work hours and relaxed office environment. • Be a voice in the strategic planning phase of upcoming projects
• Assist the project manager in day-to-day management of projects and staff to ensure quality, client standards and schedule requirements are met
• Track and directly report project status updates to project manager
• Help problem-solve issues and suggest ways to improve the project
• Organize, file, and maintain all current project documents
• Enter information into and manage the digital project databases
• Help coordinate and manage the project from inception to completion
• Coordinate with fabricators, engineers and architects to meet project requirements
• Manage RFIs and Change Orders
• Prepare drawing packages and issue to the client per scheduled delivery dates
• Ensure project adheres to a set schedule and is meeting the goals of the client

Qualifications:

• Any level of knowledge of Tekla Structures or detailing software.
• 1+ years’ experience as a Steel Detailer – willing to consider candidates who are able to demonstrate significant experience in a related field
• Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction, fabrication, and the ability to read drawings
• Self-motivated and ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance
• Deadline driven with an attention to detail

Requirements:

• Diploma/certificate
• Canadian Citizenship/Legally able to work in Canada
