Thats why were dedicated to investing in our employees’ potential, so that they can reach their career goals.Job DescriptionWhat you can expect in a typical dayAs a The Terminal Value Centre (TVC) Operations Manager, you will be an integral part of our Terminal Supply team. The Terminal Value Centre (TVC) Operations Manager is responsible to lead, coach, and mentor a team of supply chain specialists in the reliable, efficient, and cost-effective accomplishment of their day-to-day activities of executing the supply fulfillment process and successful daily inventory management. They develop and implement strategies aimed at improving productivity and operational effectiveness of TVC’s processes and have the ability to make difficult decisions to support strategy and 45-day operation plans. The TVC Operations Manager role also focuses on 12-18 month strategic planning and identifies how they can best support the business to best optimize results.What we offer:

Your roles and responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day coaching, support and performance management of Supply Chain Specialists. Provide leadership to direct reports and employees to ensure alignment, focusing on productivity, employee satisfaction, change and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve business priorities.
  • Provide clear direction by establishing and regularly communicating performance expectations and hold individuals accountable for their commitments, job performance and behaviors by regularly providing timely, specific, and constructive feedback. Celebrates successes and acknowledges lessons learned in such a way that they motivate an even higher level of commitment and performance.
  • Anticipate supply chain variances supporting day-to-day operations with specialists. Identify and analysis variances between the demand and supply plans and provide recommendations to minimize the impact of such variances on the supply chain.
  • Collaborate across the supply chain to recommend appropriate action plans to minimize the impact of such variances on the supply chain and our customers.
  • Lead, attend and participate in a variety of supply chain meetings, including: Daily Inventory Meeting, Weekly Refinery Meeting, Biweekly Supply Chain review meeting.
  • Delegate action items from meetings to team members to ensure completion of tasks.
  • Budget and approve invoices for a variety of operational expenses
  • Drive continuous improvement of supply fulfillment by effectively analyzing situations and resolving interruptions in a cost-effective manner.
  • Use performance measurements and critical thinking to perform root cause analysis and take actions to improve supply chain processes
  • Drive best-in-class supply and customer service levels
  • Communicate effectively with Senior Manager to understand customer requirements, supply plan, risk and mitigations
  • Work with Senior Manager and supply chain specialists to collaborate with various internal stakeholders including but not limited to Traders, Contract Managers, Refinery production and Marine Operations resolve gaps & challenges in supply chain
  • Analyze, report and be measure on specific KPIs - Product Availability, Finished Product Inventory, influences Shipping Cost per Bbls
  • Collaborate with Production Planning, Traders, Terminal Operations, etc. to provide input into 12-18 month strategic planning and identify how best to support the business including changes to infrastructure, maintenance, capital plans, market and product change as a result of regulatory compliance requirements, etc.
  • Oversee and support the supply chain specialists in developing and implement strategies aimed at improving productivity and operational effectiveness of the TVC processes. This process requires the ability to make difficult decisions to support strategy and 45 – day operations plan.

  • Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines / proven ability to meet hard deadlines.

  • Strong knowledge of MS office applications, particularly Excel
