Available Position - Full TimeCollins Tours, Atlantic Canada's leader in worldwide escorted vacations, are looking for a polished and professional candidate with both strong sales, organizational, and selling skills for executing and planning group travel. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, selling Collins Tours & Consulting Ltd tour products, handling contracts with hotels, special events, and coordinating events. Handling incoming calls from existing and new clients, updating tour information, and contacting new event locations. Travelling will also be required whether being group events locally, presentations and business travel for training and education.QUALIFICATIONSSomeone who is skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)Post-secondary education in Travel Tourism/Hospitality concentration preferred, not necessaryProfessional work experiencePrevious travel experience in the workplace or personal level is a mustBilingual - asset, not requirementSales experienceExcellent customer service skillsOrganizational skillsTeam PlayerCapable of working in a busy environmentAcquiring license for selling NB travel insurance after a period of employmentExpectations:SalesWhether incoming calls or outgoing cold calls, working with staff to ensure our sales goals are reached each month. This includes but is not limited to, taking incoming calls and starting the booking process to using our contact list to call clients to see if any tours are of interest to them.Requirement of travelling within Maritime provinces in, but not limited to, spring and fall of each year for sales presentation events.OperationsIncludes contacting hotels, venues or coordinating events to ensure all bases are covered for our clients to have a memorable experience on their tour. This would also include reviewing of contracts to ensure they are signed and returned, and paid before the due date.Customer ServiceBeing available to help our clients make an informed decision in regards to the best tour for themTaking deposits and/or final paymentsAnswering questions, returning phone calls in a timely mannerGeneral Office DutiesAnswering phonesMaking and providing invoice to customersProcessing Final PaymentsCompleting booking process with all pertinent information required from clientsOther general office duties as neededPosition is full time with minimum of 40 hours per week. Days will consist of Monday - Friday.This position is salary starting at $45,000 annually plus benefits.
