JOB TITLE Ways to Work Program Employment SpecialistREPORTS TO Employment Marketing & Development ManagerMAIN OBJECTIVEThe Ways to Work Program Employment Specialist is responsible for assisting “Workforce Ready” persons living with social barriers in transitioning to training and employment. The Ways to Work program includes social skills training in effective communications, self-awareness in social settings, self-monitoring, workplace sensitivity, social intelligence, and workplace expectations.ABOUT USKey Industries has been providing services to people with disabilities since 1974. These includes training in portfolio building, goal setting, job development, job transitioning, accessibility, accommodations and maintenance. These services will be available for all participants who have successfully completed the 14-week training room portion of the “Ways to Work” program. The Employment Specialist will be required to move between portions of the (14) weeks of classroom training to the Job Search Central workshops when required.The Employment Specialist will provide mentoring, networking with contacts, encouragement and resilience for participants seeking a job, accepting a job and keeping a job.
