If you have a can-do personality, love a start-up culture, and have a passion for our region, let's talk.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Workforce Attraction Manager who is passionate about propelling growth for the Saint John region. Success in this role will be achieved by working closely with our team and with a variety of external partners and stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and implement strategic initiatives to attract and retain people and workforce in our community. You will understand the needs of both employers and job seekers, locally, nationally, and internationally.ResponsibilitiesIn this position, you will report to the Vice President.Responsibilities will include:

  • Be a catalyst in developing, coordinating, and implementing strategic people and workforce attraction initiatives for the region, including job fairs and onboarding programs.
  • Routinely collaborate with government, academic, not-for-profit, and private sector partners in the development of workforce strategies and tactics.
  • Act as a growth ambassador for the region working directly with job seekers, newcomers, employers, settlement agencies and other partners to accelerate and streamline recruitment, hiring, and retention.
  • With a focus on return on investment, track key metrics, evaluate initiative effectiveness, and evolve strategies and tactics to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Identify and implement innovative ways of addressing employers' workforce needs.
  • Facilitate industry and educational partnerships to meet regional workforce needs.
  • Compile, analyze, and share regional labour market information with stakeholders.
  • Work with partners to support an increase in international student retention.
  • Represent the organization, as required, in a variety of settings including with clients, community partners, or the public.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to help meet key organization goals.
  • Share key insights and information across the organization.
  • Take on other responsibilities and initiatives as required.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Human Resources, or Education. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • CHRP designation considered an asset.
  • Minimum of five years relevant work experience.

  • You have achieved results as recruiter for a post-secondary institution or business.
  • You are familiar with current provincial and federal immigration policies and procedures as it relates to international job seekers.
  • You are knowledgeable of local, national, and international recruitment best practices.
  • You are knowledgeable of the priority growth sectors in the region and post-secondary institution programs.
  • You are recognized as an implementor with a strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to prioritize deliverables.
  • You value data and are experienced at creating and managing detailed meaningful reports.
  • You are a solution-focused, strategic thinker equally adept at tactical problem-solving and visionary thinking.
  • You are an effective communicator, skilled at presenting detailed factual and conceptual information in a dynamic and compelling way.
  • You thrive when working on multiple projects and are recognized for delivering outstanding work within tight deadlines.
  • You are recognized for your relationship management skills at all levels of an organization and segments of the population.
  • You are recognized for your ability to work autonomously and achieve results with minimal supervision.
