Job Description

Field Service Technician – Scale AQ North America,East Coast office, Saint Stephen, NB ScaleAQ is an international company within aquaculture. We provide innovation, technology, and equipment to customers globally.We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join the ScaleAQ North American team based in our office in Saint Stephen, NB.Your duties and responsibilities would be to:

  • Troubleshoot, repair and install electronic equipment and mechanical systems including antennas, cameras, computers and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot software related issues
  • Provide technical support and training to customers
  • Prepare technical documents
  • Maintain professional and technical requirements for the position and contribute to the company ethos of continuous learning and development
  • Work in the field up to 80% of your working week
  • Provide on-call support on weekends and statutory holidays on a rotational basis
  • Continuously adhere to safe work practices and maintaining a safe work environment on farm (sea-based) sites and in our Scale AQ workshops
  • Perform related duties as required
The qualifications, training and experience required are: Essential
  • Trade or related training in industrial electrical, mechanical or engineering with an aptitude for IT/computer operating systems
  • An ability and willingness to work productively and safely in a challenging marine environment
  • The technical competence to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
  • To be motivated to work alone or as part of a team
  • The capability to perform troubleshooting procedures
  • An ability and willingness to work in other Provinces and the United States
  • A valid drivers license [Class 5]
Desirable
  • Two years related experience or an equivalent combination of networking, software, mechanical and electrical system
  • Working knowledge of both LAN and WLAN protocols
  • A Pleasure Craft Operator Card, or other qualification as required
  • Knowledge of motor control circuits for FVNR, FVR and VFD
