Established in 1976 the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. General AccountabilityThe Trades Centre Assistant - Summer Student will have the opportunity to gain work experience in SIIT #39;s Electrical and Welding programs while developing the skills necessary to be successful in their future. The summer student will have an opportunity to improve their teamwork and communication skills, as well as, their administrative skills and leadership capabilities. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the incumbent provides support including setting up classroom, shop space, and equipment. The summer student will have the opportunity to learn and development the skills required to be a tradesperson or an instructor. Any shop work will be under the direct supervision of an Electrical or Welding Instructor. This position provides support as required and includes the following broad range of accountabilities: Specific Accountabilities
