This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day safety, staffing, and production at the plant. It is the Site Supervisor’s obligation to enforce standard operating procedures as well as Shaw Resources Policies and Procedures as they may pertain to safety and working efficiencies. You will have a strategic mindset and the ability to lead your team to operational excellence with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and safety.As an integral part of our Operations Team, you will: Create and maintain a safe workplace for all employeesManage, coordinate, and allocate a team of 12-14 plant personnel on a daily and weekly basis, according to the shifting needs of the business to meet demanding production targets.Manage the Plant Operators to run the plant safely, efficiently, and effectively.Assist in the management of the preventative maintenance program.Contribute as an active member of the Plant Lean program. Institute operational best practices and reduce process variance and costs by driving continuous improvement through Lean activities.Qualifications3 or more years supervisory experience in a plant environmentExperience in manufacturingTrack record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationshipsTrack record of successfully collaborating in a team environmentExperience collaborating with various areas within an organizationLean experience an assetWhy work for our Shaw Resources teamWe understand the importance of investing in and developing our people.
