We require additional 1-on-1 tutors for the following subjects and levels for the upcoming school year:Local (for in-home service in the St. Johns area)Primary/Elementary – All subjectsJunior High – All subjectsLocal and Online (serving students across Canada and around the world)Senior High: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, French, EnglishCollege/University:Sciences - Statistics, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Computer Sciences, Earth Science (Geology), Geophysics, Psychology, Economics, Environmental ScienceEngineering - Math, Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Solids, Structural Analysis, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Mechatronics, Surveying, Electrical Circuits, Controls, Computer Programming, Computer Hardware, Digital Logic, Microprocessors, GraphicsBusiness – Management, Accounting, Decision Analysis, Operations Management, Finance, Business LawNursing and Health Sciences – Nursing, Midwifery, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Histology, Microbiology, Immunology, Genetics, Biomechanics, Neuroscience, Kinesiology, Pharmacy, PsychologyArts and Languages – French, Spanish, English, Latin, Classics, Folklore, Linguistics, Political Science, PhilosophyOthers – Law, Education, Social Work, Music TheoryThe amount of work will vary from week to week and term to term. Our current tutors average about 10 hours per week, but some subject areas may receive less while other tutors perform 20-30+ hours per week. Compensation will be either $17 or $20 per hour (contractual), depending on tutoring/teaching experience.Due to time constraints, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.REQUIREMENTSAcademic – Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in one of the above subject areas.Experience – Candidates should have at least one year of tutoring or instructional experience.Communications – We require our tutors to have outstanding teaching ability and communications skills, including a high proficiency in the English language.Professionalism – We expect our tutors to conduct themselves in a highly professional manner.
