Job Description

Looking for a change. At Oak Trees and Acorns Child Care Centre you will become a team member in a unique intergenerational early learning and child care environment located in Chancellor Park Long Term Care Facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning curriculum based on best practices that are developmentally and age appropriate; guiding children’s behavior that supports children’s self-esteem; providing a healthy and safe environment; and communicating positively with families and co-workers. We are committed to providing high quality child care through recruiting knowledgeable, motivated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educators.Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Certification Level II
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Immunization Record
Salary: Salary starting $18.00 hourly for a one year contract position.Medical Benefits are cost shared with employer. Other benefits include; 10 paid annual leave days; 5 paid sick leave days; 14 paid statutory holidays that includes paid leave between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day; paid snow days and 2 professional development days.
