Job Description

PAL Airlines grew out of a renowned flight school based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, and has since become one of the largest independent airlines in Eastern Canada. Offering scheduled flights, air charter and air cargo service, PAL Airlines has earned a global reputation for safety, service, and reliability.In the fast-paced world of aviation, there is much more happening than meets the eye. The aviation industry offers career opportunities that extend beyond what you see during the inflight experience.To support PAL Airlines, we are seeking applications for a Business Analyst to join our team in St. Johns, NL.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong customer / business facing skills and stakeholder management
  • Ability to produce and review business cases
  • Be part of peer review sessions with other Business Analysts
  • Ability to work well within small teams
  • Ensure documents are complete, current, version controlled and appropriately stored.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support the department success
  • Conduct market research and prepare and maintain ongoing research
  • Review and provide financial analysis on business opportunities.
  • Preparation of presentation materials for presentation to the executive
  • Work with coordinators and sales account managers to identify potential business/sales opportunities for other lines of business
  • Work with charter coordinators, SOCC and the Director of Operations to ensure resource usage is maximized to meet charter and client requests
  • Audit the quoting process to ensure accuracy of quotes
  • Work closely with Commercial Operations, SOCC and Finance to bring efficiency to the Charter quoting process to ensure timely response to all potential clients
  • Special projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field;.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis or related field.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Advanced technical and documentation skills, including strong working knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
