Job Description

Keen is a growth focused, start-up company seeking a Business Associate Intern to join our team this winter. Keen is a Newfoundland & Labrador-based company with immense growth potential, we are one of the Seafair Capital group of companies and are currently a resident at The Dock: An accelerator for small businesses with high growth potential that provides access to expertise in technology, strategy, marketing, and finance to help businesses scale at a pace that exceeds the norm.To support our growth journey, the intern will join a small team at Keen and be engaged in a variety of business functions spanning marketing, sales, technology adoption, customer engagement and strategy. Keen hopes to employ an individual who is willing to wear many different hats, roll up their sleeves, and be involved in this exciting journey. They can expect no day to be the same and should expect to be asked to perform a wide range of duties, including:

  • Assist to develop sales campaigns
  • Perform market research
  • Assist in the research and implementation of technology tools
  • Attend and contribute to brainstorming sessions
  • Design marketing and communications content using Canva
  • Maintain customer information in CRM and advise on engagement opportunities
  • Engage with stakeholders and partners to gather information and data
  • Community outreach initiatives
This individual will need to be comfortable voicing their opinion, sharing their ideas, and communicating with others as a part of a team. Some of the skills and experience that will be important in becoming the successful candidate are:
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Tech-savvy
  • Experienced performing research and data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Experience using Canva and social media marketing experience is preferred
