Production TechniciansINCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY FOR CASUAL WORKERSAtlantic Cultivation is currently compiling a list of casual workers to join our Production Team on an as-needed basis.We’re a Canadian cannabis company located in St. John’s, NL. We operate a world class, state-of the-art, indoor cannabis facility where we cultivate cannabis using top feed drip hydroponics in rockwool, and we’re rapidly growing.There is no concrete commitment for availability required; if we need workers for a particular day/week we’ll give you a shout, however, if you’re not available that’s perfectly ok. The only restriction to availability is that our facility operates Mon to Fri day shifts. We’ll never interfere with your other position and we’ll offer you the kind of hands-on learning experience that no video or book could ever match.The Production Technician RoleResponsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Maintain plant and crop health under the guidance of department leads.· Scout croups for signs of basic plant problems, such as discolouration, pests, and diseases.· Propagation and management of propagated plants.· Work as part of a packaging line where attention to detail is crucial.· Trimming cannabis, making hash, rosin, or other products as advised.· Using a pre-roll machine.· Ensure shipping and receiving activities are done accurately and on time.· At all times, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production activities to produce consistent quality cannabis products.· Ensure workspace, equipment, tools and production areas are clean and sanitary, and within regulatory guidelines.· When documenting activities, ensure good production practices (GPPs) are followed at all times.· Ensure refuse and waste products are managed and destroyed as per the current SOP’s· Employ professional and clear communication practices to maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere.· Other responsibilities as assigned by department leads.What’s in it for you· Competitive wage structure, starting at $16 p/hour· A truly flexible work schedule· A fun, exciting and safe work environment.How it works…We may have multiple crops coming down at the same time, an influx of vacation requests, a new product we’re desperate to get to market etc. so that’s when we’ll need you. We’ll give you a call as soon as we know you’re needed (which may be a week in advance or 6am that day) and if you’re free that day and want the shift then it’s yours.
