Job Description

The world class training our flight crew receives is completed in one of the most advanced flight simulators provided by CAE which is located in St. Johns, Newfoundland & Labrador.   • Administration of daily passenger and cargo movements to offshore locations;
  • Passenger interaction with professional and courteous manner;
  • Liaise with Traffic Agents on daily flying program;
  • Liaise with Ramp Supervisor on daily flying program; and
  • Administer company and customer policies regarding passenger requirements for offshore travel.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • All aspects of flight departure preparation, including: checking in passengers, baggage, and freight; preparing the pre-flight manifest; and maintaining the departure and arrivals records in the POB systems used by each operator;
  • Ensure passengers have a photo ID for verification;
  • Ensure passengers verify their personal information and next of kin information at check-in;
  • Verify prescription and non-prescription medications;
  • Having the passenger complete the required offshore registration form and gather any supporting documentation (BST, medical certificate, etc.) that the passenger may have on their person;
  • Enter the registration form into the POB management system and update the training records for the passenger as required;
  • Assisting with preparing flights for departure;
  • Transfer freight onto the flight;
  • Notify Traffic Agent if payload exceeds the available payload on the flight;
  • Direct all requests for additional payload or passenger bumps through the traffic office;
  • Give final payloads to the traffic office no later than 30 minutes prior to flight departure time;
  • Prepare four copies of the final manifest for Ramp/Security Attendants;
  • Page all passengers into the briefing room;
  • In case of a delay, ensure passengers have been provided with the most up-to-date information regarding new departure times, and reasons for the delay;
  • Issuance of pagers as required for delayed/cancelled passengers;
  • Issuance of meal, hotel and cab vouchers as required for delayed/cancelled passengers;
  • Provide restocking of check-in and counter materials information;
  • Weekly inventory of baggage tags; and
  • Other duties as assigned by the Passenger Movements Lead.
Safety and Quality Responsibilities
  • Practice workplace safety;
  • Be familiar with and Comply with the Cougar SMS and HSE policies and procedures;
  • Be responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the workplace requirements for the Cougar’s day-to-day operations and asking for assistance when they are unclear about a workplace process to complete a job task safely;
  • Report hazards: If an employee encounters an unsafe or harmful condition or situation or if they are unclear if a task is safe, the employee is responsible to report this immediately to their supervisor or through the Cougar Safety Hazard Observation Program (S.H.O.P.); and
  • Wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1 year of relatable experience;
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain clearance for RAIC pass; and
  • High School Diploma
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Must demonstrate understanding of a daily flying program, operational requirements and limitations for departing or not departing a flight;
  • Ability to learn and work effectively within the POB management systems used by individual operators;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work;
  • Must display professionalism in dealing with both passengers and logistics personnel;
  • Must always positively represent Cougar in all dealings with the public;
  • Must display knowledge of the regulations for offshore travel as they affect this department, which have been mandated by Transport Canada and the C-NLOPB;
  • Must be aware of further regulations and restrictions as they have been mandated by the various operators;
  • Work efficiently in a Windows based program; and
  • Previous experience in aviation will be considered an asset.
