Connex Personnel is currently seeking 2 Construction Management Representative’s (CMRs).The services of 2 CMR’s are required as well as the Permit Holder in some case(s), to support the execution of project work in multiple locations as outlined below. More specifically, it is preferred that one individual will cover the Massey Drive (MDR), Stony Brook (STB) and Bay dEspoir (BDE TS1) terminal station sites, where it may not be required for the CMR to be the Permit Holder, but desirable, and the other individual will cover the Happy Valley (HVY) terminal station site, which will require that the CMR is also the Permit Holder. Projects will run between August to mid-October.This support is required for oversight of a construction contract for civil works related to the replacement of 69kV, 138kV and/or 230kV circuit breakers at various terminal stations. The Contractor scope of work mainly includes, but is not limited to, the removal and/or installation of concrete foundations, subsurface drainage pipe, cable trench, conduit, anchor bolts, yard grounding and yard gravel as well as the associated excavation, backfill, compaction and final grading in relation to those circuit breaker replacements.Generally, the role involves conducting safety orientations, participating in tailboards, verifying work progress, performing quality checks and inspections, preparation of as-built drawings, preparing daily reports as well as ensuring that the Contractor is adhering to the contract documents.Candidates shall have good communication skills and be assertive with the Contractor as required to ensure that the Contractor is performing duties of the contractual scope in a safe, efficient and effective manner. Candidates shall discuss site progress and issues with company engineering and/or Contract Manager multiple times per day as required to efficiently resolve any issues at site relating to the work, etc. so as to ensure that work progress continues as efficiently as possible. Candidates shall have experience in high voltage (HV) terminal station equipment replacements involving civil as well as electrical construction. Familiarity with processes and procedures for terminal station construction, particularly in relation to circuit breaker replacements, as well as civil QA/QC experience is also an asset.Estimated Effort Time: On-site 12 hours per day and align work schedule with Contractors schedule,Special Conditions: A valid drivers license will be required.
