Job Description

Looking to make some extra money over the holidaysNewex Delivery Inc, a FedEx Ground contractor, is currently accepting applications for full-time contract courier-subcontractors for the St. Johns area.We require people who can work in a fast paced environment where long hours and some weekends are required, particularly during our busy period from November to January. You will have the use of a proprietary software that will load your list of deliveries and give you the most efficient route to follow. No courier experience necessary.The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and/or attributes:

  • Happy to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk 10 - 15K steps per day.
  • Willing to spend a good majority of the day on their feet.
  • Ability to do some heavy lifting.
  • Respect and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
You are required to use your own vehicle, which must meet the following criteria:
  • 2010 or newer car or SUV/Minivan (no pickup trucks)
  • No visible damage or rust.
  • Equiped with 4 winter tires.
In addition, you must have your own smartphone, and be proficient with use of technology. A clean drivers abstract and criminal background check is required. We focus on Safety Above All, and candidates must possess strong sense of safety in the workplace and a positive work ethic.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractSalary: $1,000.00-$1,500.00 per weekFlexible Language Requirement:
  • French not required

  • 12 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
