Our business model of local offices allows us to deliver the best service in our industry and foster successful client relationships.Our OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Geomatics Technology Lead to join our growing Allnorth team in one of our Canadian locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Newfoundland. As the successful candidate, you will provide technical support and help drive innovation for our growing Geomatics team. Additionally, you will work to optimize survey equipment utilization, equipment rentals and fleet support.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted mentor for the survey and materials disciplines
  • Support our Survey Project Mangers and Construction Services Managers in project technical delivery expectations
  • Develop technical specific onboarding tools and training and provide training support to Divisions
  • Support field data processing &survey calculations teams and our field survey teams with troubleshooting, technical support, and training
  • Develop standards and procedures and quality processes for field survey, data processing, survey calculation and plan preparation
  • Support with equipment forecasting, logistics of equipment and trucks, supplier relations, and any other tasks as assigned by the Procurement and Equipment Manager
  • Train and audit the use and adoption of corporate inventory processes, tools, and procedures
  • Work on Continuous Improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Geomatics Degree or Diploma
  • 5+ years of Geomatics experience, with preference for candidates with both field and office experience
  • Experience with asset management software, Trimble Business Center, Access, Sync, and Connect
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills with a high level of dependability
  • Ability to travel and work out of town for periods of time when called upon
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a dynamic team environment is essential
  • A valid driver’s license is required
