SITE DESCRIPTON: Carbonear Hospital: This facility is a four-story residence which includes space for recreation therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and spiritual care. Harbour Grace: The new Adult Addictions Treatment Centre will be one of two adult addictions treatment centres for this province. This facility will enhance addictions services and treatment options available to adults in our province.TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESBased on specific site posting, log and report all incidents reported by hospital staff, physicians, patients or visitorsPatrol interior and exterior of facility preventing unauthorized entry; in a composed manner direct individuals initiating disruption to leave the premisesWhile on patrol, monitor risks such as unlocked doors, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical issues, hazardous material and additional breaches of security2 way radio use and professionalismRespond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance.Monitoring situations, cameras, property and eventsCommunicate in a truthful and receptive manner under all circumstances as well as provide information regarding the facility as requested by personnelSustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and visitors through courteous and respectful relations perceived from their viewpointMonitor and screen visitors and clients in a professional manner in order to grant access to the facilityQUALIFICATIONS:Grade 12 diploma plus some Post-Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program would be an assetSuperior written and verbal communication skillsPaladin Security Group is the security company of choice amongst some of the most respected institutions in the country, protecting the public and government facilities.
