Job Description

If you thrive as a relationship builder and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities, this dynamic #opportunity may be for you!You will provide regulatory and certification support for our East Coast operations. You will interface with the certifying authority on numerous technical matters dealing with the ongoing certification of the Terra Nova FPSO. In doing so, you will work with cross functional teams within operations, engineering, and maintenance.Minimum Requirements:

  • Six years of related experience in oil and gas and / or the marine industry
  • Experience in a certification role or closely related fields of environment, health, safety, regulatory and / or integrity management
  • Demonstrated experience with effectively interacting and influencing all levels within an organization
  • Comprehensive knowledge of classification and flag state requirements, Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador regulations, codes and standards, and international certification regimes related to offshore developments
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
Responsibilities:
  • Provide regulatory coordination and support to the Terra Nova asset, including operations and engineering
  • Interface directly with the certifying authority on technical matters and coordinate activities such as offshore surveys and onshore reviews / meetings
  • Coordinate Transport Canada delegated activities, including class surveys and flag state certificate renewals
  • Maintain all statutory certificates including certificate of fitness and conditions of class, qualifications, and limitations
Location and other Key Details:
  • You will work out of our St. John’s office, located at 130 Kelsey Drive
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
  • Occasional travel to offshore sites may be required
