Competition Number: 2022 THSAII 039 (please quote in application)Location: St. John’s, NLSalary Scale: CG-39 ($65,065 to $72,818.20)Closing Date: September 1, 2022About UsAt the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information (the Centre) we provide quality information to health professionals, the public, researchers, and health system decision makers. Through collaboration with the health system, we support the development of data and technical standards, maintain key health databases, carry out analytics and evaluation and support health research. We support the regional health authorities, as well as the patients and communities they serve, in the delivery of information technology (IT) and eHealth services applied in the healthcare system to provide quality care. Our mandate also includes the development and implementation of a confidential and secure provincial electronic health record as well as other provincial clinical information programs, including the change management required to support adoption by end user clinicians.About the Role We are currently looking for a temporary, full time Telehealth Systems Analyst II to join our Unified Communications Department. Reporting to the Manager, Unified Communications, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Support and expansion of telehealth services and provide technical expertise in developing the migration plan from an on premise to cloud solution including implementation of plan
  • Provide daily support to the telehealth environment
  • Develop documentation and procedures for operational support of telehealth environment
  • Working to build integration with Telus EMR
  • Provide expertise in Video Conferencing technologies; on premise Expressway, Call Manager, etc., cloud Webex, Zoom, etc.
  • Demonstrate proficient skills in analysis, design, testing and implementation of virtual conferencing technologies
  • Accountable for the support of VC applications, systems and enhancements for Virtual Care infrastructure and other environments.
  • Provide advanced system technical support
  • Prepare clear and accurate documentation for procedures and process flows
  • Work with management and care providers to develop operating level agreements and service level agreements with other departments and outside partners
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure the Centre has appropriate levels of vendor support
About YouYour education and experience include:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT Related field
  • Minimum 8 years progressively responsible experience in a system support role
  • Experience working with a wide variety of technical platforms such as UNIX, Linux, Windows, Server, and Desktop Virtualization
  • Experience providing technical advice to project teams and management
  • IT certifications in ITIL, Linux, Unix, and Storage would be considered an asset

  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical team members
  • Have excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills complimented by the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Have a strong understanding of privacy, confidentiality, and access issues
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information using excellent judgment, diplomacy, and discretion.
