Job Description

Warehouse Associate - $16/hourOur client in St. Johns, NL is looking for a hardworking, motivated talent to join their team as a Warehouse Associate. Dont wait… apply today!Whats in it for you

  • $16/hour
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
  • Paid training
  • Full time hours
  • Clean and safe work environment
  • Three month contract to start, possible extensions
What will you be doing
  • Handle all incoming shipments.
  • Perform verification of purchased products and enter order receipts into computer system.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections when appropriate.
  • Place received material, after segregating back orders, into proper warehouse storage locations. When appropriate, relocate and consolidate material and notify management of new table locations.
  • Pull, pack, weigh and label materials for shipment (including assemble & hold orders).
  • Prepare bills of lading and express receipts.
  • Assist in loading the trucks.
  • Prepare local delivery records and complete applicable blocks on the pick ticket.
  • Maintain appropriate forms pending return of material.
  • Inspect condition of returned material prior to completing return authorization forms.
  • Pull stock and return it to the correct location pending credit memo, sale or return to supplier.
  • Clean warehouse and trucking/parking area.
  • Assemble and disassemble bins, racks, shelves and tables as needed.
  • Administer preventative maintenance programs to delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety practices for warehouse operations.
What do you bring
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds, any lift over 50 pounds will require two workers to complete
  • Previous forklift experience is a bonus.
  • Regular warehouse competencies are required but also needs to be comfortable using computer
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high level of accuracy in performance
  • Must be able to secure reliable transportation to and from work
  • Will be required to complete a criminal background check
  • Will be using ladders daily, and ladder safety orientation will be provided
