Job Description

(NASDAQ:TLRY), a global pioneer in the research, cultivation, production and distribution of cannabis currently serving patients and consumers in thirteen countries spanning five continents.SummaryManitoba Harvest has an opportunity for a FOOD SAFETY COORDINATOR to join our Quality team located at our Ste. Agathe facility on 100 Prairie Road.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAs a member of our Quality team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provides leadership and training to all Departments regarding food safety programs (BRC, HACCP, Organic, Kosher, GMP)
  • Assists with daily / monthly inspections, GMP audits, internal audits, root cause analysis, documented corrective and preventative actions and risk assessments
  • Maintains and updates QMS and HACCP documentation and programs
  • Works with Operations team members to act on noted GMP violations and/or corrective actions
  • Initiates, participates, and/or supports continuous improvement projects.
  • Assists in audits and inspections to support compliance with requirements of the QMS in specific areas of responsibility
  • Responsible to report on food safety and/or quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate corrective actions
  • Other duties as assigned by the organization
Qualifications
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Food Science, Quality or related program
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, BRC or other Quality Management Systems
  • Strong comprehension of English language speak, read, and write
  • Organized and detailed orientated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work the occasional evening and/or weekend
  • Ability to travel to our Ste. Agathe facility if required
