We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George, Smithers, and Calgary, AB.Purpose of the Role:To safely and efficiently operate, a rigid frame haul truck in an open pit mining environment.We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.Accountabilities:

  • The Operation of haul trucks (Cat 777, 785 and 793) in an open pit mine on 12-hour shifts rotating between day and night shift
  • Follow established traffic patterns avoiding road hazards
  • Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections and complete daily equipment reports
  • Report all unsafe mechanical conditions
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment
  • Assist in general mine labour and other duties as require
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience in an open pit mining environment is preferred
  • Be committed to safe working practices
  • Be prepared to actively participate in a positive and safe working atmosphere.
  • The ability to stay alert and pay attention to detail during all hours and weather conditions whilst on shift
  • Ability to safely climb and access equipment, as well as lift heavy objects up to 50lbs
  • Be a strong team member and be able to work independently as required
  • A valid BC Drivers License
