We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George, Smithers, and Calgary, AB.Role PurposeReporting to the Supply Superintendent, this role provides leadership to all aspects of warehouse operations and is responsible to lead a team of Journeyperson Warehouse Technicians.We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.Accountabilities:

  • Receive and inspect the documentation of the materials, spare parts, equipment, and other supplies that are received and dispatched of the warehouse.
  • Ensure that the merchandise entering the warehouse is registered in the computerized system of the Warehouse.
  • Ensure effective and timely implementation of all Logistics daily operational goals inclusive of Shipping functions and Inventory Management.
  • Develop and initiate reports having required project timelines, corporate metrics and productivity measurements.
  • Support inventory management consisting of reconciling and maintaining of finished goods inventory along with lot date the warehouse locations. Support with the counts of the periodic inventory when the inventory management require.
  • Oversee and monitor availability of stock.
  • Support simplification and standardization of processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficiencies.
  • Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to top management.
  • Manage relationships and monitor performance of transport partners and clearing agents.
  • Develop, articulate and maintain logistic process documentation. Supervise the efficient loading of route and transport trucks
  • Schedule the receiving and delivery of the material’s raw materials/finished products in a timely manner
  • Report on cost drivers such as attendance, overtime, equipment hours, task assignment, work performance and consumable items.
Safety and Environment
  • Ensure that the team complies with all site procedures, policies and site environmental requirements to ensure they always work in a safe manner
  • Ensure operational and services personnel comply with the legislative requirements of the countrys related statutory regulations.
  • Demonstrate personal commitment in regard to safety, and environmental and Social Responsibility practices.
  • Identify potential hazards and ensure action is appropriately taken.
  • Raising, discussion and resolution of safety issues at regular meetings
  • Produce daily reports of any lost time injuries as directed.
Staff Supervision
  • Provide day to day supervision, acting as a technical reference point and mentor for staff to ensure work outputs are in line with daily and weekly business plans.
  • In Superintendent absence, provide support in the daily operation in the warehouse.
  • Monitor performance and develop review plans for all direct reports.
  • Ensure fulfilment of staff against agreed rosters patterns and notifying management of gaps created during leave periods.

collaboration with colleagues and stakeholdersQualifications & Experience:
  • 10 + years’ experience in Manufacturing, or Distribution and Warehouse Operations. Mining
environment preferred
  • SCMP Designation (asset)
  • Experience in mining operations is considered a strong asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • 3 + years of SAP experience
  • Experience leading Collective Bargaining Employees is a strong asset.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • A team player that works well with others
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
