Site visits may be required occasionally.This HR Business Partner role provides professional Human Resources direction and critical support to the Newcrest Red Chris Mining (NRCM) Block Cave Project team in line with Newcrest standards and industry leading practices. Leads the workforce planning, recruitment, and strategic sourcing to meet Study and Project talent needs. Provides an engaging and comprehensive induction to all new employees and contractors and to ensure compliance to all site access are adhered to.Accountabilities:Workforce planningConducts workforce planning and headcount budgeting ensuring alignment with Project and Site organisational design, including the management of organizational charts and models for ProjectMonitors and tracks anticipated changes in workforce numbers and configuration over time, analyses areas of potential deficiencies in availability of skills in the labour pools (professional, trades and semiskilled)Ensures a level of continuity and integration over various phases of the ProjectContributes to attraction, incentive, and retention strategies and administers talent mapping and capability planningActively engages in performance management, training, and employee relationsPerforms regular audits of data, monitoring and reporting of people analyticsStrategic resourcing and onboardingLeads full-cycle recruitment process for domestic and international candidates executes the recruitment workflows in alignment with Newcrest and Project processes and standardsCollaborates with the talent management team (Red Chris Site and Newcrest Centre) throughout the recruitment process to ensure diverse range of candidates are considered (internal and external)Directs the onboarding/inductions of employees, contractors, and consultants, ensuring a positive experiencePlanning & Scheduling:Key contact for Project team, maintains effective communication with all affected stakeholders and Site ManagementManages against Project schedules, monitors progress and takes corrective actions as requiredIntegrates planning for sharing of Newcrest and contractor resources, keeping project teams aligned through Scope of Work and Schedule ReviewsFacilitates the annual review cycle and Short Term Incentive (STI) processesOther alike duties as assignedQualifications and Experience:Seven (7) years demonstrated experience in a similar role with specific knowledge of strategic resourcing. Mining, heavy industry sector, and/or major works projects experience highly desirable.A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Management.A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR preferred).Working knowledge of HR processes and disciplines, including recruitment & selection, attraction & retention, compensation & benefits, employee & labour relations, diversity & inclusion, workforce planning, and respective employment legislations, standards, and acts.Experience with contract management. Familiar with procurement processes and document control management.Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, as reflected in the ability to network in person and online.Experience with people-data / analytics reporting (e.g.: Oneview, Power BI).Advanced computer skills including experience using and maintaining an internal applicant tracking system (e.g.: PageUp ATS), working knowledge of SharePoint, SAP, Microsoft suite of productivity applications (Teams, Planner, Excel, PPT).
