We offer several designated marshalling points within Canada including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George, Smithers and Calgary.Who we’re looking for:We are looking for an experienced Superintendent for our Open Pit Mine Operations team. Reporting to the Manager Mining you will be accountable for the delivery of the mine plan encompassing safety, productivity, and cost deliverables. Through visible and felt leadership of the mining operations team you will promote a positive and inclusive team culture with a focus on excellence and world best practice mining standards.In this role you will:Implement, sustain, and promote world best practice mining systems and processesProvide input and direction across multiple planning horizons (weekly all the way to budgets)Establish and manage the department budget inline with production forecastsBe responsible for contract management of business partners focusing on strengthening relationshipsLead business improvement projects with a focus to optimise the mine planQualifications and ExperienceThe successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a proven track record of promoting and sustaining a successful safety culture through visible safety leadership and the ability to influence large teams.
