We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George, Smithers and Calgary AB.Who we are looking for:We are looking for a Pit Utilities Technician to work in our Open Pit at Red Chris Mine. Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, the purpose of the Pit Utilities Technician is to support the open pit mining operations through:Planning, preparation and execution of electric shovel and cable movesEnsure Shovel cables are installed correctlyInstallation, maintenance, and monitoring of the pit dewatering systemConduct and document inspections on all cable and pumping stationsMaintain signage standards around the open pit work areaHot seating Haul trucks and equipment if necessaryThe successful candidate should be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, and have experience working with electric shovels.
