This position is required to work on site at the mine located approximately 80KM for Dease Lake, BC. We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George and Smithers, as well as Calgary, ABReporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to work closely with the site’s maintenance personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the scheduled and preventative servicing of mobile mine equipment and assisting Tradespeople with the maintenance of surface and underground mining equipment. The role entails servicing activities that will ensure maximum equipment availability and to minimize equipment downtime. This position is FIFO on a 2/2 roster.Duties include:Follow all safe work practices and proceduresUndertake scheduled servicing of all mobile equipment and mobile units according to company standards and work instructionsRefueling and topping up of fluids on Haul trucks 793F/D ,785D, 777C, 740/745 Cat Rock trucks, Hitachi Hydraulic / Electric shovels, loaders, and all other mobile mining equipment on site, ensuring they are at safe operating levelsEquipment servicing: including oil and filter changes, and ensuring all drain plugs are tightened after removalTaking oil samples for analysis and monitoring of oil conditionOperate kidney looping machine to extend life of oil.
