This position is required to work on site at the mine located approximately 80KM for Dease Lake, BC. We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George and Smithers, as well as Calgary, AB.The Superintendent, Planning and Reliability is accountable for delivering improved performance of assets and reliability across the area sites they support. Leading the team, this role will work directly with the site teams in the development, implementation, and optimization of the asset management strategy. The role will also support the Manager of Reliability and Maintenance and Site Managers in the development of the strategic and tactical objectives, plans and priorities to improve overall business results.Accountabilities:Lead the implementation and optimisation of an Asset Management program for planning and reliability, which encompasses systems, processes, procedures, standards, KPIs, analysis and tools that will maximise business value for fixed and mobile assets for the sites they support.Identifies and addresses asset reliability issues in the operations ensuring best practices for asset uptime are standardised and shared with peers across the business.Works with the Projects Team to ensure strategies (operating and maintenance) are in place prior to hand-over to Operations.Works with the site’s Operations Departments in establishing operating parameters and standards that will optimise the asset’s reliability.Works with management teams to ensure compliance to the reliability program and that asset reliability risks are identified and mitigated appropriately.Provides recommendations on strategic investment in equipment, technology and initiatives to optimise asset value at the sites they support.Collaborates with management teams and key stakeholders in development of budgets as well as production and shutdown plans.Responsible to lead and assign work to team, ensuring that all work is properly documented and communicated to stakeholders through established Management of Change policies and procedures.Regularly review asset programs to ensure that they are performing effectively and efficiently and to develop KPIs that quantify this performance that can be used to continuously improve all systems and assist in the prioritisation and allocation of resources and personnel.Lead planning personnel to ensure that equipment data, spares requirements, and procedures and documentation are modified as necessary as a result of additions, deletions or modifications to the mobile fleet and fixed assets or configuration.Contribute to the implementation of new systems/processes and provide guidance, auditing, mentoring and analysis support to the management team.Builds an effective team ensuring that they have the right skills, knowledge and experience to safely deliver improved performance and machine health in the operations they are part of.Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in reliability and/or planning maintenance leadership roles.Possess a Professional Engineering designation.Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, influence and collaborate with others to build effective working relationships.Experience with development and implementation of Asset Management programs and metrics such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR in a mining or industrial environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills.Software skills in of MS Office products and CMMS systems (SAP)Our commitment to youAt Newcrest, we hold core values that focus on caring about people, working together and achieving a high-performance culture through innovation and problem solving.Newcrest’s commitment to diversity and inclusion respects both the rights of every individual to work to their highest potential, free of discrimination, as well as the cultures, religions and governing codes applicable to each country in which we operate.If you share our values and feel that you could make a meaningful difference in this role, please apply online before the advertised application closing date.Job number 980231Advertised 15 JUN 2021
