We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George, Smithers and Calgary, AB.Who we’re looking forThe Uncertified Warehouse Technicians position is a part of a team which is responsible for shipping/receiving, materials management, and supporting site and project operations. This position will require you to operate equipment such as a forklift, zoom boom and loader in carrying out the duties as directed by the Supervisor and Superintendent of Supply & Logistics. This is a temporary, 1 year term position.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Supervisor – Supply and Logistics, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Support the Safety Management System, ensure a safety-first work culture; apply site safety standards, procedures and policiesParticipate in site safety initiatives and supporting the agreed behaviours in the teamCommit to and help support NewSafeSupport any investigations when work is stopped due to an unsafe act or condition and ensure actions to mitigate the risks are implementedMaintain a clean workplace, complete housekeeping tasks prior to the completion of the daily shiftsHelp to ensure team members are authorized, qualified and competent to undertake the task/s; Not allowing an inexperienced person to undertake tasks unsupervisedEnter data in inventory and logistics softwareMaintain and manage inventory levels and controlsAssist shipping and receiving with unloading trucks and checking in merchandiseKeep accurate records of goods entering and leaving the warehouseReceive pick tickets and prepare and stage customer orders accordinglyWork night shift on a rotational basisReceive and process warehouse stock ordersOperate equipment such as forklift, zoom boom and loaderEnter data in inventory and logistics softwareMaintain and manage inventory levels and controlsOther duties as requiredQualificationsExperience operating forklift, zoom boom and loader is requiredA minimum of 3 years warehousing experience requiredExperience in mining operations is considered an assetStrong organizational and time management skillsSAP experience an assetPhysical requirements: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching and standing for long periods of timeValid Driver’s LicenseA team player that works well with othersStrong oral and written communication skillsOur commitment to youAt Newcrest, we hold core values that focus on caring about people, working together and achieving a high-performance culture through innovation and problem solving.Newcrest’s commitment to diversity and inclusion respects both the rights of every individual to work to their highest potential, free of discrimination, as well as the cultures, religions and governing codes applicable to each country in which we operate.If you share our values and feel that you could make a meaningful difference in this role, please apply online before the advertised application closing date.Job number 981022Advertised 1 NOV 2021Quick Apply
