We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George, Smithers and Calgary AB.Who we’re looking for:Reporting to the Chief Surveyor at Red Chris Mine, the responsibilities of the Underground Surveyor role will include, but are not limited to:Prepare, maintain, and issue survey layouts and excavation instructionsMark the location of mine development, diamond drill programs, and other works as requiredAdvance survey control and perform check-surveys on control as requiredAssist surface civil and infrastructure construction projects relating to Red Chris Underground including the layout, quantity surveys, and drawing reviewsPerform daily advancement surveys, maintain as-builts, and provide updated prints and reportsPerform month end surveys, as well as month end reports and printsInspect, adjust, test and monitor the performance of survey/field equipment and other systemsCoordinate findings with the project team, relevant contractors, and others concerned with the projectSupport ground support QA/QC by performing bolt pull tests, bolt counts/surveys, shotcrete strength and thickness verification, and prepare corresponding reportsSupport ventilation monitoring including air flow/quality measurements, gas re-entry checks, and preparation of ventilation reportsThe successful applicant will have strong written and oral communication skills, be a team player with a minimum of 5 years of underground mining experience, working in a similar capacity.
