Job Description

The OpportunityDucks Unlimited Canada (DUC), one of Canada’s leading conservation organizations, is looking for a creative, energetic and dedicated Digital Nature Storyteller. This position will have to work in a home office and come to our national headquarters located at Stonewall, MB to capture content on a weekly basis.The Digital Nature Storyteller will provide creative communication support to the national education department to increase reach to youth in support of wetland conservation.This position will strategize, capture and create content, implement the strategy, be responsible for scheduling and measuring the results of social media activities. This includes capturing bilingual digital media stories of youth, and featuring you, for use on social media through photography, short clips, films, interviews and written bilingual content.The Digital Nature Storyteller will work with the national education team to develop the strategy and will lead the implementation with the support of the education national content creator team.The position requires a creative, visionary, curious, expressive, bilingual, self driven and collaborative person. The position requires someone that is keen to learn about Ducks Unlimited Canada’s missions, and that has innovative ways to bring key information in an accessible and meaningful digital format in English and in French to a youth audience.Requirements

  • Must be age 30 and under and a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or hold refugee status in Canada.
  • Must be currently unemployed, underemployed, or hold part-time employment
  • Must qualify for the Eco-Canada internship (https://www.eco.ca/internship/internquiz)
  • University degree in communications, marketing, digital arts, writings or equivalent years of experience.
  • Candidate must be bilingual (French/English).
  • If candidate is selected, they will be required to provide character references and complete a police background check.
  • The successful candidate will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
