Job Description

North Central Co-op invites applications for the part-time position of Bakery Clerk to join our team at the Stony Plain Food Store, Alberta. Open availability is an asset.Co-op does business differently. To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.northcentralcoop.ca.Role Overview:Responsible to provide an exceptional level of customer service and maintain a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards. Responsible for the general merchandise of the department and the care and safe use of any tools or equipment required. This includes processing daily payables, operating the Point of Sale system (when required), completing general housekeeping duties, assisting team members when necessary, and any other duties as assigned.Primary Job Functions:

  • Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in the department
  • Package, prepare and stock products in relevant department
  • Maintain a display of products ensuring facing, filling and organization of products meets company standards
  • Monitor case temperature, clean equipment and workspaces
Required Skills:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic approach to work
  • Efficient and accurate when working in a busy environment
  • Previous retail bakery experience preferred
