Job Description

Role Summary:Lead a team responsible for verifying the quality of cabinet doors and parts before packaging or assembly. Ensure compliance with design specifications, maintain production flow, and coach staff in quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Quality Inspectionsamp; Verification:

  • Lead final inspections on doors and parts to ensure they meet visual, dimensional, and functional spec.
  • Use tools (tape measure) and interpret technical drawing.
  • Identify, document, and coordinate repair or rework for non-conforming items.
Team Leadershipamp; Training:
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach quality inspectors and packing staff.
  • Train team on inspection criteria, SOPs, safety, and 5S/lean standards.
  • Conduct audits and spot checks; recalibrate standing by coaching or process revision.
Process Managementamp; Continuous Improvement:
  • Coordinate workflow with production, packaging, and shipping teams, ensuring defect-free product release.
  • Maintain QC documentation, logs, data reports, and issue Summary to Supervisor.
  • Lead or contribute to root-cause investigations, corrective action planning, and KPI tracking.
Equipment Set-Upamp; Maintenance:
  • Manage setup of inspection stations including measuring tools, strap machines and computers.
Safety, Housekeepingamp; Documentation:
  • Uphold safety, PPE, and ergonomic standards.
  • Enforce 5S/lean principles in quality and packaging areas.
  • Ensure timely and accurate record‑keeping of inspections, rework, and QC metrics.
Qualifications:Experience:
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, minimum 1-2 years in a lead capacity.
  • Familiarity with cabinet or woodworking production/quality control.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient with inspection tools and measurements using a tape measure in mm.
  • Strong math aptitude for precise measurement and calculations.
Leadershipamp; Communication:
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a QC team.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication to escalate issues and drive improvements.
Computeramp; Reporting:
  • Skilled in MS Office and/or ERP systems for QC tracking and production labeling.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lb.
Preferred Skills:
  • Background in cabinet/joinery manufacturing.
  • Experience with 5S/lean methodologies and QC best practices.
  • Formal training or certification in quality control or supervisory programs.
Hours of Work:
  • Standard workweek is Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM.
  • On-site role.
